CEO POKER TOUR Has Phenomenal First Day Tournament at the Trump Taj Mahal

(PRWEB) May 19, 2007 -- CEO POKER TOUR, where executives play, on May 19th, had a phenomenal first day tournament at the Trump Taj Mahal, with over 270 attendees, and a prize pool of $115,000. Players at check in, received a flex CEO POKER hat, t-shirt, exclusive cards, from Casino Playing Cards, and a Poker Players Alliance pin.

CEO POKER started the morning with a free roll for its players at 11:15, for tournament seats, and at 2:15pm the CEO Poker $500 buy-in tournament started with executives ready to play for cash, trophies, and CEO POKER title. Lines were long, as players waited for their chance to battle over the green felt of the poker table.

"We had a great first day, and are looking forward to the rest of the tournament schedule at the Trump Taj Mahal," says William Peraza, Jr. "The rest of the daily tournaments this week, from $1,500-$5,000, we anticipate will be just as spectacular, with great prize pools and executive players in attendance."

Attendees included: Stephen "the NUTS" Feraca, who also placed in the final table of the US Poker Championship at the Trump Taj Mahal, Harry White, executive and poker aficionado, Tom Messner, CEO and advertising guru, Bobby "Blaster" Payne, of Smilingbulldog.com, among hundreds of others.

The one day tournament started at 2:30pm, and was still going past 7:00am, as the last players refused to give up, battling for the CEO POKER title.

Bobby "Blaster" Payne and Alan Whitmore played the field of executives and went heads up in a chip stack war. The heads up match turned when Whitmore went all in with a Q (Diamond), 4 (Club) suited, that beat Blaster's A (Spade), 6 (Spade), and placed Blaster on tilt. The next hand was the last hand, Whitmore went all in with K (Diamond), 2 (Spade), and Blaster called with a suited hand, J (Spade), 9 (Spade). The match was long but it ended rather quickly, the flop came and no one paired, Whitmore won the last hand with a King high.

Whitmore took first place, and Blaster second place.
